"Saving Home": Liza Ingram 1916 -> Hill Family 2026
December 10, 2025, 7:00 PM
Susan Gordon, longtime storyteller and writer, will be inviting the listeners to wrestle with the idea of Home. How do we know it? How do we tend it? Hear how Liza Ingram's fight to keep all of West Virginia from being lumbered out in 1916, is the same fight folks in three Maryland counties are waging, trying to keep their land from being ravaged by corporate greed in 2025-2026. Hear the conversation between Liza Ingram and the Hill family of Baltimore County; as they share what sustains them and what must be sustained. This evening explores how the imagined can convey the truth and what steps can be taken to protect our land and homes. Donations will be gratefully accepted to help the farmers defray their legal costs in the battle to save their lands.
This event is free but donations are encouraged.
