Jennifer Stevens is an artist who paints in a whimsical and colorful style using oils. Her subject matter is inspired by the beautiful countryside of Baltimore and Harford counties in Maryland, as well as her love of horses, animals and extensive flower gardens at her home. She is drawn to impressionism and abstract art with a passion for color. Jennifer interprets her vision through color, using bold, rich, vivid tones throughout her work.
As an avid hiker and gardener, Jennifer sees continuous inspiration for her paintings. The beauty of nature and the perfection of flowers are often what we see appreciated on canvas. Jennifer grew up in Ruxton, Maryland and experienced the 60’s as a hippy, even living for a short while in a commune. These colorful memories are a part of Jennifer’s creative makeup and often find their way to canvas through her expressive hand.
Jennifer studied with Trevor Twist at the Mitchell School of Art in Mt. Washington, Maryland for several years. She is currently studying at The Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland with Carol Lee Thompson, a full-time professional artist who is classically trained in the methods of the Old Masters.

She also has exhibited for several years at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art inTimonium, Maryland, the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air, Maryland, the Mill Historical Society in Charles County, Maryland, and the Burwell-Morgan Mill, Clarke County, VA.
