Two-Dimensional Moving Images

A Solo Exhibition by Artist Nate Fink

Manor Mill Gallery is honored to host the amazing oil paintings by Nate Fink. Nate is a 19-year-old artist currently in his second year at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He experiments with an array mediums, but oil painting has been his true passion.

He states, “Paint allows me to put parts of my head onto a flat surface in a way that nothing else can. Painting becomes a full body dance, I like to imagine I'm slowly sanding down a surface until it starts to become reflective. My favorite paintings become like mirrors, I can look at them and start to see myself peering back.

…once you look at something long enough you realize everything is infinitely complex and always moving. I try to capture these qualities in my work.”
