Welcome all levels to a dynamic and fun 2 hour songwriting workshop with award-winning performing songwriters Megan Burtt and Shanna In A Dress. Bring your songs, your ideas and your questions. Megan and Shanna will leave you with tips, tricks and a boatload of inspiration to write your stories into songs. Bring your songs if you have any. Please submit any burning questions ahead of time to megan@meganburtt.com to be sure they are covered in the workshop.

Spring Needle Felt Painting with Rog Hicks

The art of felting wool has been around for centuries and is found in many cultures around the world. This art form is created by pressing wool fibers through a felt backing using barbed needles. They agitate the wool fibers causing the fibers to mesh together and adhere to the backing. No experience necessary. All supplies are included. 13+

Megan Burtt and Shanna In a Dress have both won the Kerrville New Folk and Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter competitions and have performed together several times over the years. During this special show they will each perform their own sets before coming together at the end to share some songs. Join us for two wonderful evenings of music featuring these two award winning performers. Each evening will be different!

Based out of Reisterstown, Maryland, our master falconer of 10 years has more than 12 years of raptor experience. Join Jordan Weinstein for an intro to hawks, falcons, and owls. You will get to handle and choose a bird to take a photo with by the end of class!

Intro to Hand Tools

Discover the timeless art of traditional woodworking with this immersive class. Students will delve into the fundamentals of craftmanship, focusing on the mastery of hand planes, chisels, hand saws, and various hand tool woodworking techniques. Learn the essential skills of shaping, milling, and precision cutting all by hand, all while connecting with the rich history of woodworking. Each student will go home with a shooting board and end will end the class by making their own bench hook.

Broom Making with Brooms and Blessings
This workshop is an introduction to traditional broom making. Participants will use simple tools to make a Turkey Wing & Fan Whisk hand broom & discover a new appreciation for the decorative & functional styles of this Appalachian craft. Participants will learn about broom making, brush control, & the “V-Up” technique while creating these works of art.

Learn the basics of Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding in these make-and-take classes where you'll make a metal bird or dragonfly out of common kitchen utensils. Topics covered include welding safety, equipment, processes, and basic metallurgical properties. Make a decorative bird for your home or garden using common kitchen utensils.
