Gunpowder Valley Conservancy Partnership Projects
In 2025, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) and Manor Mill partnered to secure grant support to enhance Manor Mill’s role as an environmental steward and an educational resource in Northern Baltimore County!
The BayWise grant was part of the Clear Creeks Project, a grant-funded, citizen-based initiative to restore the water quality throughout the Gunpowder Watershed. The project at Manor Mill utilized native plants, rain gardens and micro-bioretention practices to manage and filter stormwater and protect local water and wildlife. These improvements not only beautify the property but also help Manor Mill contribute to better, more resilient stormwater management for cleaner, clearer streams and a cleaner, clearer Chesapeake Bay.
In the fall of 2025, volunteers are invited to join us to learn more and help make the project a success!
