First Tuesday of every month: gather at 6:45pm, presenter/topic at 7:00 PM

Maker’s Night Reboot!

After several years of running our Maker’s Night and Artist Gathering, we thought we had enough overlap in people attending and interest that we’d combine the two into an “Artist Meet-up”.

Tuesday, June 3

Social Media Crash Course for Artists and Creatives

Are you struggling to reach new audiences with social media? Wondering why some posts have a hundred views while others have thousands? Do you want to know how to cultivate genuine relationships that convert followers into loyal fans and customers? Join Zoe Leonard, social media manager for Manor Mill, for a Crash Course on Social Media Marketing! You’ll leave this meeting with a basic understanding of social media strategy, tips and tricks for creating successful content, and a How-To guide for making short form videos using Instagram’s video editor.

During the meeting, we will have time to “audit” up to three Instagram accounts from volunteers. We’ll workshop what’s working, what’s not, and help you brainstorm ideas for creative content to reach and engage your audience. Volunteers will be drawn randomly from a hat.

About Zoe:
Zoe is a writer, performer, and social media manager from Baltimore County. She began working at Manor Mill in August of 2023 after graduating with a degree in Creative Writing and minor in Marketing Communications from Emerson College. Prior to working at Manor Mill, Zoe was the social media manager for Emerson Esports and Emerson's Mystic, her college's organization for alternative spirituality. She has also worked as a writing tutor and TA, specializing in college essays and personal statements. She is passionate about helping others tell their stories.

Join us for our monthly Artist's Meet-Up! Half of the sessions will be around practical topics that have been very popular among our artist and maker community such as: how to price your work, managing your social media, taxes, vendor booth setup and the like.

The other half of our meetings will be for attendees to listen to a professional artist share their work, process, and professional practice, and / or to have their works critiqued in a group setting led by a professional artist. Beyond that, this is a social event for us to support and meet one another while sharing creative ideas!

Artist Meet-up Program (Alternating Monthly)

We will alternate each month between the “Professional Tune-up” and “Artist Circle”. Depending on how things roll, we’ll adjust from there!
