Preserving our Land: Grow Clean Water in Your Backyard with Gunpowder Valley Conservancy
Did you know that adding native plants to your landscape can directly benefit the health of our local waterways? This spring, Manor Mill is installing conservation gardens in partnership with Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) to reduce stormwater runoff to nearby Charles Run. Learn more about the Manor Mill gardens and how you too can grow clean water at your home!
Take your environmental stewardship to the next level by preserving your property for future generations. As a Baltimore County-based land trust, GVC has preserved over 2,000 acres within the Gunpowder Watershed. GVC currently has funds through the Maryland Rural Legacy Program to protect high-value open space, working lands, and ecologically significant areas within the Monkton area.
