Alongside, or shall we say underneath, our Full Bloom exhibit will be a wonderful display of ceramic sculptures in our stone-walled Cellar Gallery! This will be our third exhibition in this historical space from that was built in 1742 and we welcome landscape inspired ceramic sculptures by artist and educator James McFarland.

Make a Vase! Slab Constructed Ceramic Vases

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to use ceramic slab construction techniques to create your own unique vase in clay. Discussion and demonstrations will include making and assembling clay slabs, tips and techniques for seamless slab construction, and how to dry your work properly to avoid warping or cracking. Surface techniques and glaze finishes will also be discussed.
