Robert Jones, expert timber framer, carpenter, and future builder of the Manor Mill water wheel, has successfully added sides to the pavilion. This newly improved structure will house our precious white oak lumber, allowing it to dry and cure properly over the coming months. By ensuring the wood’s longevity and quality, this step brings us closer to completing the water wheel—a key element in revitalizing Manor Mill and Monkton’s historic charm.
While we wait for the wood to dry, there’s an opportunity for you to make a lasting impact! We still have 50 paddles that need sponsors. With a generous, tax-deductible donation of $600, you can have a personalized message on paddle and be part of this legacy.
