Thanks for your interest in learning from the talented Natalie Featherston! Explore the foundational building blocks of representational painting of value, color theory, drawing and form in this three-day workshop. Each artist will work from Natalie’s photo reference of one of her trompe l’oeil paintings while she demonstrates her easy to follow, step by step approach to painting.

-How to begin a painting with a straightforward method to the initial block in. 

-How to read the values in your subject for tonal accuracy to create the most convincing illusion of light and form in your paintings.

-How to create convincing textures with specific tools and techniques.

-Her simple approach to color and color mixing can be easily implemented into your painting style, bringing your paintings even greater depth.
