Manor Mill is launching a new arts program for homeschooling students! This program will offer an introduction to drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture. The classes will begin with The Elements and Principles of Art. Students will learn about perspective and beginning techniques to enhance drawing skills. Ages 6-12 (open to all ages, inquire with any questions to info@manor-mill.com)

Class will meet on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 and will run for 5 weeks, starting October 21 to November 18.

A Spooktacular evening of elevated pumpkin carving that is sure to bring out the creativity in us all! Join local artists Mike & Joanne Bare as they help you go from ordinary to extraordinary in your pumpkin carving skills. You will learn the proper techniques to make a masterpiece for Halloween! 3D Glass Plant Spiders with Smiggart

We will create 3D spiders using glass nuggets wrapped in hobby came that will be assembled and soldered with wire detailed legs. Designed to be hung from a plant pot of anywhere else you need a cute little friend.

Make Your Own Tie Dye with Boring Tie Dye- Halloween Edition

During this workshop, I will lead you through the basics of one of four folds to make your favorite t-shirt for Halloween! Then we will head to the dye station where you’ll get to use professional dyes to create a one of a kind wearable piece of art. You’ll take your Halloween tie dye t-shirt home with you that you’ll be able to wear and enjoy for years after!

Learn to Burn with K.L. Kriss Studio - Spooky Coffins

Have a ghoulishly good time learning to woodburn with Kristi from K. L. Kriss Studio. Using a pyrography pen, you’ll burn a fun Halloween design on a small wooden coffin and decorate the inside with moss and gothic mini embellishments. These coffins can be used as ring boxes, candy boxes, or for display on a spooky shelf. 3 spots left!

Hammer Creek Bluegrass stays true to their name and keeps the tempo hopping with a wide variety of bluegrass music from classic groups like Flatt and Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe to name a few. The band has put a creative bluegrass twist of their own on some timeless country and other genres from artists like Steve Earl, Townes Van Zandt and Dwight Yoakam. Enjoy a great time as they entertain with a variety of music that is sure to keep you asking for more.

Sam Farthing

Twenty-one year old Sam Farthing is a skilled guitarist and songwriter from Baltimore, specializing in jazz manouche and gypsy music. At age ten Sam picked up the guitar and soon after started playing the music of his favorite guitarist, Django Reinhardt. With performances around the world at festivals like the Festival Django Reinhardt in France, Djangofest Northwest in Washington, Django sur Lennon in Ireland, Django a Gogo events around the USA, and the Charm City Django Jazz Fest at home in Baltimore, Sam has established himself as a notable figure in the genre. His commitment to musical authenticity and dedication to teaching have made him a respected mentor to many aspiring guitarists.

Maximilian Jacobs

Violinist Maximilian Jacobs weaves jazz, classical music, and klezmer into his original compositions and virtuosic performances. He studied classical violin from the age of five and taught himself jazz at the jam sessions of his hometown of Baltimore City. Max has served as an Artist in Residence for Strathmore and played at local venues like the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage, An Die Musik, and the Charm CIty Django Jazz Fest.
