In this 8-week ceramics course, students will be introduced to skills including throwing, trimming, and glazing. Basic forms on the wheel include cups, bowls, small plates and vases. As students progress, more complex forms and techniques will be introduced.

Come with your significant other/first date/best friend/family member…whomever! We’ll have a crash course in making pottery on the wheel. Each pair will use one wheel and have the opportunity to make 3 to 4 pieces total. Choose your glaze colors – we take care of the rest. We’ll provide everything you need to create. Last weekend, visiting artist, Gigi Chen, led her acrylic bird painting workshop, NEON WINGS!

Students worked through the basics of building up an acrylic painting, then they learned Gigi’s special technique to create a neon glow across the surface of the water. Everyone did a great job!
