Woodworking 101

Enjoy a brief safety and technique training on all the major tools in our shop that you will need to take intermediate classes. Do you have tools, or unfinished projects around your house? Adam will talk through all of your questions about wood, woodworking, and give you the steps you need to finish your next project!

Intro to Dovetails

Wed 6/12 @ 6pm

In this class we will learn one of the most essential and daunting furniture joints- the dovetail. Using only a hand saw, chisel, and hand full of marking tools, learn how to make the beautiful and strong dovetail joint without machinery.

Kid’s Sing Along & Fun

Join us for a weekly sing along with traditional and original music with Pat Hundley! If you and your kiddos like songs, music, tricks and stunts- this is perfect for you! Pat taught kindergarten and pre-k in Baltimore County for 34 years!

Intro to Owl Education & Falconry

Sat 6/15 @ 10am

Join master falconer Jordan Weinstein from Maryland School of Falconry for an intro to owls and the difference between owls, hawks, and falcons. Get to know 4 species of owls: Eurasian Eagle Owl, Siberian Eagle Owl, Barn Owl, and Burrowing Owl.

Father’s Day Woodturning

Make something with your dad this Father's Day that he will use and love for years to come! Choose to turn a handle for either a bottle opener, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, or a campfire roasting fork. You'll learn the safety and operation of a lathe and related tools, including direct hands-on work on blanks of wood before creating your own handle.

Parent & Child Welding

Sun 6/16 @ 9am

You and your child will learn the fundamentals and safety associated with MIG welding, practice welding, and take home a welded sculpture that you make together! Only 2 spots available! Suitable for ages 10+ and great for Father’s Day!

Dad & Me Try-It Pottery
Sun 6/16 @ 10am

Spend Father's Day morning learning to make pottery on the wheel! Dads (Grandpas/Uncles/etc) and child will take turns using a pottery wheel and have the opportunity to make 3 to 4 pieces total. Choose your glaze colors - we take care of the rest. We'll provide everything you need to create. You just bring your sense of fun. This class is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Ages 10 and up (price is per pair!)

Writer’s Guild Prose Night

A published author opens the evening with a reading, followed by an open mic for fellow writers to read excerpts of their work. This month’s author: Danielle Ariano will be reading from her new memoir, The Requirement of Grief.
