In this two-part course, students will learn how to effectively select and prepare live edge wood and treat it with a colorful array of epoxy to create a unique serving tray. Students will use a tablesaw, tracksaw, bandsaw and various hand tools to create their project. Required: Intro woodworking or knowledge on how to work a table saw. |

Students will be introduced to skills including throwing, trimming, and glazing. Basic forms on the wheel include cups, bowls, small plates and vases. Each class will start with a demonstration by the instructor, followed by time working with clay with instructor supervision and encouragement. For students with little to no prior wheel experience. Includes 25lb clay and bisque firing. Glazing additional charge. |
