Featured Artists

Joshua Tracy

Joshua Tracy is a Gunpowder Valley artist who has devoted over half of his life to creating functional and decorative blown glass objects in the Venetian style, using modern and traditional glassblowing techniques. He received his Glass BFA in 2004 from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH and has worked as glassblowing assistant and instructor for renowned master, Anthony Corradetti, since 2005.

In the last five years, Tracy developed his most recent body of work, entitled “Counter Currents,” which features blown and sculpted glass fish forms with forged iron and river rock stands. The work is inspired by the artist’s passion for fly fishing, and his years of exploration in and around the Gunpowder River, Loch Raven Reservoir and the Chesapeake Bay region.
